We are currently looking for an Optometrist to join our unique practice in Somerset. We operate as an independent practice within the forward thinking East Quay Medical Centre. We offer a wide range of optical services to our patients including, in particular, significant involvement in the local minor eye conditions (ACES) scheme. So we have a really rewarding balance of traditional and clinical optometry. We are a small but dynamic and friendly practice that has served our patients for 7 years, offering fantastic, quality eye care services.
The successful applicant will need to be keen to get involved in all aspects of optometry, and have excellent patient communication skills. Existing experience in managing minor eye conditions would an advantage, although further training will be given by our Lead Optometrists Edward Farrant and Sarah Farrant. Opportunities will exist to help develop additional clinical services. We have undertaken research projects with the College, we have trained pre-reg Optometrists and we support our team to develop and deliver projects that inspire them.
